Before you bid
Triangle Liquidators is a liquidation inventory source. A few things resellers get caught by with this kind of source:
Manifested vs. unmanifested lots. An unmanifested pallet is a real gamble. Even a manifest can be wrong or incomplete.
Damaged or non-working items mixed in. Inspect everything before you list it, not after a buyer complains.
Storage and capital. Buying in volume ties up both space and cash.
Every source sets its own fees, registration and pickup rules, so read them on Triangle Liquidators’s own site before you bid.
Runs online restaurant-equipment and business-liquidation auctions out of Raleigh and Garner, with bidding through HiBid. Its own site also lists new restaurant equipment.
Buyer’s premium not confirmed. Check the auction’s terms before bidding.
Their auctions page can be empty between sales. Check back.
Sells real estate and personal property by auction, with a focus on business liquidations, estates and commercial equipment. The auctions page lists what's coming, and online sales run on Proxibid.
Buyer’s premium not confirmed. Check the auction’s terms before bidding.
The city's page says surplus goes to GovDeals, and some items to the NC State Surplus site instead. The main link runs the city's own Raleigh search on GovDeals. On GovDeals, agencies show in the seller-name dropdown, and a name missing from it means nothing is offered right now.
Anyone can browse the public bid site, but bidding needs an approved account: one account per person, with a residential address (per the state's bid guide). A bid in the last two minutes extends the clock by two minutes, and the site's terms say a bid can't be edited or withdrawn while an item is on bid, so treat every bid as binding. The Raleigh store, warehouse and vehicle lot run Monday through Friday, and the warehouse uses a morning lottery for entry (line-up from 8:45 a.m.; see the entry-process link). Not confirmed: whether searching closed auctions needs a login. The surplus.nc.gov address didn't load for me, so use the state's own bid-site link.
